Shiang-Yu Relay

The last character of the house is pronounced as “Yi” in Mandarin, referring to the small house next to the main building. This relay serves as a place for flower viewing. The structure is transformed from the paths of the corridor. The curved corridor sometimes goes along the wall and sometimes turns outside, and it forms a small yard of different sizes and characteristics between the walls. Bonsais and stones are placed in the small yards. Such technique creates depth and gradation for the visitors.

In front of the building lie the flowerbeds. When the flower season comes, the ground is covered with colorful blossoms. Along with the surrounding buildings, together they creates a poetic sense atmosphere.
