Ji-Gu Library

Ji-Gu Library

The function of the Ji-Gu Library is to collect books and study. It was named after the Ji-Gu Hall of Zi-Jin Mao in the Ming Dynasty. From the exterior, the building can be divided into three sections and a pavilion in the front. Ji-Gu Library has doors both in the front and the back to facilitate ventilation and passing. The main structure was originally built with a plane roof and was changed into the current style during the Japanese colonization period. Functioned as a library, the design of its windows is simple but graceful. The pavilion in front of the house is grand and splendid. The most unique is its rolling-book-like roof. Some believe that the idea must be affected by the architecture style of South East Asia.
